The transformation of Polyethylene through the cross-linking (PE-Xb) assures a long service life since it increases the chemical/mechanical resistance and the performances at high temperature. The cross-linking process at 60-70% causes a structural modification of the PE molecules transforming the thermoplastic material into thermosetting, nevertheless maintaining the flexibility typical of thermoplastic materials. Xb initials identifies the cross-linking process through the silane method.

 

MULTIPEXALFA is a multilayer pipe made of 3 layers joint through an adhesive; the intermediary layer is constituted by an aluminium foil (butt-weld during the extrusion) that makes the pipe totally oxygenproof, also conferring higher resistance to pressure, under-pressure and crashing although maintaining its ductility; moreover the organoleptic properties of the fluids conveyed remain unchanged.
